Bible study based on the original languages
The Bible - the Book with the richest cultural and historical background - has been translated
and reviewed numerous times. People all over the world read a version of the Bible in their mother-tongue or a
foreign language in which they are proficient enough. My personal experiences with the Bible were quite similar to,
I assume, those of many Christians worldwide. From the moment I became a reborn Christian, I read the Bible a lot.
First I read a youth Bible in Dutch, my mother-tongue; then an English study Bible (New Living Translation).
Reading the Bible translations as a reborn Christian was a wonderful experience. I learned a lot through the journey. However, recently I have developed a deep conviction that studying the Bible in its original languages is indispensable for a right interpretation and understanding of God's Word.
